UNIFORM LIST

We have tried to make the information here as explicit as possible. If parents are in any doubt, then they should contact the school for clarification.  Pupils not wearing the correct uniform in an appropriate manner will be awarded a uniform debit.  All items must be clearly named.

CLOTHING

Regulation items (in Italic type below) are only obtainable from Stevensons

ALL PUPILS

Regulation School Blazer with badge.
P upils in Years 10 and 11 may wear the regulation barrathea blazer of dark navy.

Regulation School Tie.  It must not be tapered or worn with only the thin part showing.

Regulation navy "3 in 1" Jacket.

Scarf - plain navy blue (optional).

Science Overall, supplied by the school

Art Overall - an old shirt is acceptable.

Regulation plain navy Home Economics apron.

GIRLS ONLY

Regulation School sweater carrying the school logo.

White Blouse long sleeved, regulation style school blouse (no pockets). In the summer term, a short-sleeved, open-necked white blouse may be worn.

Regulation skirt.
Years 7-9: navy blue inverted pleat.
Years 10-11: grey inverted pleat.

Skirts should not be tapered and and must not be more than 2cm above the knee or 5cms below the knee.

Socks/Tights knee length navy blue socks. During the winter, black tights (denier between 40 and 70) may also be worn, but no other colour will be permitted. In the summer term traditional white ankle socks may be worn.

Shoes: plain black leather with a low heel, (no higher than two inches) in a style suitable for school; not suede or patent.

Hair - hair longer than shoulder length should be tied back at all times. Hair ribbons should be of a navy colour. Slides or hair bands should be of a dark colour. Hair should be of its natural colour.

Make up and nail varnish is not permitted.

Jewellery is not permitted. Girls with pierced ears may wear small plain studs or sleepers, one in each ear lobe. No other form of body piercing is permitted.

BOYS ONLY

Shirt white regulation style only. Short sleeved plain white shirts may be worn during the Summer term.

Regulation sweater carrying the school logo.

Regulation plain dark grey trousers. Traditional style and fabric.

Socks: a dark colour (medium/dark grey, navy or black).

Shoes: black leather. Not suede, patent or fashion styles.

Hair Extreme lengths (less than a grade three) and styles are not permitted. Hair should be of its natural colour.

Jewellery: boys are not permitted to wear jewellery of any kind.

GENERAL

Bags: a strong satchel, briefcase or other style of bag, which is strong enough to protect text/exercise books, is required. It is imperative that a separate bag be used for games kit.

Calculator: a "scientific" model. The Casio FX83 is available from school, price £6.00.

Clip Board required for field studies.

Cyclists: we appreciate that it is unsafe to carry a bulky briefcase on a bicycle. Cyclists may obtain permission to carry books to and from school in a reinforced rucksack.

Heinemann Dictionary, available from school price £8.00.

Geometry Set, preferably Helix Achiever

IDENTIFICATION

It is essential that every item of clothing, footwear and other equipment be clearly marked, preferably with recognised name tapes.

Pupils must expect to be given debits if they infringe any of the above regulations.
