GCSE Sociology 

The Gregg School is proud to be able to offer Sociology at GCSE level, an uncommon GCSE subject. Sociology follows the AQA Syllabus and students study a number of interesting and challenging topics. In the first year, students study Society, Education and Families followed by Crime, Mass media, Power and Social inequality in the second year. The course is 100% examination based; students take two examinations at the end of year 11.

Sociology is a highly-valued GCSE and allows students to develop many different skills such as researching, problem solving, data collection, discussion and planning. A GCSE in Sociology could lead to many different careers such as:
