At the Gregg School, all students sit end of year examinations.  We attach great importance to these examinations, which are carried out under formal conditions. These, together with the Progress Reviews, enable us to assess progress throughout the year.  The information we collect helps us to place students in the correct teaching groups for the following year.  In addition, Year 9 students sit examinations in non-core subjects during the spring term.

Students are given copies of their examination timetables and they are also published on Firefly, our Virtual Learning Environment.

We enter students for GCSE examinations with four examination boards: OCR, AQA, WJEC and Edexcel, depending on the subject being examined.

Further information may be found on the examination board websites:

Year 11 students sit mock exams in November each year, and revision sessions take place in the lead up to the GCSE examinations. For further details please refer to the revision sessions schedule.

Students are given copies of the GCSE timetable when it is published.
