Mission Statement
LOOKING
TO THE FUTURE
As
a school that values highly a deep knowledge and understanding of our
pupils, our vision is:
to enable pupils
to maximise their potential in a caring, supportive environment. We will
achieve this through maintaining professional values whilst striving for
improvement through self-evaluating and dynamic processes. Our school
motto "Vestigia Nulla Retrorsum" inspires us to move forward
purposefully in our response to challenge.
Our
aims and aspirations are:
Academic
- that every pupil fulfils his or her maximum potential,
that teachers and pupils pursue excellence through knowledge and understanding,
and that our pupils develop a thirst for knowledge and the skills to
enable lifelong learning.
- to create a positive, disciplined and stimulating
environment in which achievements are recognised and celebrated.
Pastoral
- that every pupil has a responsibility towards
themselves and others to create a safe and caring environment.
- that all pupils receive the care and individual
attention they require through appropriate guidance and support.
- that pupils develop a positive self-image,
mutual respect and a sense of community in which they feel valued and
that they acquire spiritual and moral values and a social awareness.
Extra-curricular
- that we provide a wide range of enriching opportunities
for individual excellence and teamwork, enabling pupils to discover
new challenges and experiences, and to develop new interests, talents
and self-confidence.
Personal

to develop awareness of themselves and their place within the wider
world.
- that our pupils benefit from opportunities to take
responsibility and make reasoned choices to enhance their well being.
Staff

commitment of all staff and the need for a work-life balance.
- that as a good employer, the school commits to the
personal and professional development of all staff.

and the wider community

in the life of the school, valuing the importance of this close co-operation
in our education process.
